Margaret Kaiser joined The Hudson Group, LLC in November of 2019 and currently assists clients with lobbying, government relations strategies and strategic consulting. Margaret served as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from House District 59 (Downtown Atlanta and Surrounding Neighborhoods), one of the most diverse districts in the state, from 2007 until her retirement in 2017. During her tenure in the House, Margaret was a leader on healthcare and education issues and served on the Appropriations, Health and Human Services, Education, and Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committees. She was also a member of several study committees, including the Georgia Music Industry Study Committee and former Governor Deal’s Education Finance Study Committee. Recently, Margaret was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to the board of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Prior to her election, Margaret worked in the Georgia Secretary of State’s office and for The Carter Center. As an entrepreneur Margaret and her husband have built several successful restaurants in East Atlanta. She is a graduate of Emory University and received a certification in Health Policy from Georgia State University. She and her husband, Eric, have two sons and live in Grant Park in Atlanta.
