Government Relations Manager
Doug Reineke brings a wealth of political knowledge and experience to The Hudson Group where he assists clients with their legislative and political analysis, political intelligence and lobbying efforts.
Prior to joining The Hudson Group, Doug served as the top aide for the Chairman of Senate Economic Development Committee and Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee and served as the Communications and Political Director for the Georgia Republican Party during the 2008 election cycle.
During his time with the Republican Party, Doug participated in some of the great successes of the GAGOP and built strong relationships with many of Georgia’s elected officials. Unlike other states, the 2008 election cycle was a huge success for Republicans in Georgia. Doug assisted with the efforts to deliver the state’s electoral votes for John McCain for President of the United States, re-elect U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and build upon Republican majorities in the Congressional delegation and the Georgia General Assembly. In addition to his communications and political work, Doug helped implement three GAGOP State Conventions, managed the Georgia delegation at the 2008 Republican National Convention, and planned two of the Party’s annual Fish Fry events.
Doug, a graduate of the University of Georgia and avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, lives in Atlanta with his wife Kristin and two labs, Munson and Walker. He is a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
